Trans Global Service (TGS) is the service organization of LFL Group, Canada's largest retailer of furniture, appliances, and electronics. LFL Group employs over 10,000 people across Canada and operates iconic brands like The Brick and Leon's.

With more than 300 team members across Canada, TGS provides appliance repair, installation, and assembly services for LFL Group customers, direct-to-consumer clients, and a wide range of manufacturers and extended warranty providers.

We are growing our direct-to-consumer digital presence on two fronts: improving the existing TGS website, and leading content for a new consumer-focused appliance repair brand that is launching soon. This hire sits at the centre of both.

 

Who we’re looking for

 

This is a hands-on digital marketing role for someone who wants to own local SEO: the craft of making a service business show up when someone in their city searches 'fridge repair near me.' You will manage our Google Business Profile (GBP) listings, write and publish website content, and help make sure Google knows who we are, where we operate, and why we should rank.

You do not need to be an expert on day one. But you need to be genuinely curious about how search works, disciplined about execution and willing to go deep on a niche most digital marketers overlook: local home services.

Responsibilities

Google Business Profile (GBP) Management

 

• Own and actively manage TGS GBP listings across Canadian markets

• Publish regular posts, upload job photos and collaborate with the LFL/Brick Customer Experience team to ensure timely, on-brand responses to all reviews.

• Keep business information accurate across all listings: hours, service areas, phone numbers, categories

• Review GBP performance regularly, identify what is working and bring improvement ideas to the table

 

Website Content (New Consumer Brand)

 

• Write and publish SEO-optimized city pages, appliance service pages, and help-centre articles for a new direct-to-consumer appliance repair brand launching soon

• Research local search queries and competitor content to identify what we should be writing about next

• Follow content briefs and SEO frameworks to produce pages built to rank and driving conversion and repair bookings.

• Support internal linking across the site so Google understands what each page is about and who it serves

 

Website Content (TGS)

• Make copy updates and cont

nt refreshes to the live TGS website (transglobalservice.com) as directed

• Help identify pages that are stale, thin, or missing entirely

 

SEO Monitoring

 

• Check Google Search Console regularly for crawl errors, indexing issues, and traffic changes

• Flag technical problems or content gaps to TGS leadership and eCommerce/IT as needed.

 

Social Media

 

• Manage the TGS Facebook page and Instagram account, primarily by repurposing and scheduling content already produced for the website and GBP

• Respond to comments and social media reviews in a timely and professional manner

• This is not a creative social media role. The expectation is smart content recycling, consistent posting, and community management, not original campaign development

Qualifications

• College diploma or certificate in digital marketing, communications, or a related field, university degree in marketing or commerce is also welcome.

• Curiosity about how Google search works.

• Strong written English. Youare able to write clearly, concisely, and adjust depending on the context.

• An ability to collaborate with appliance repair technicians and supervisors to translate their real-world, hands-on experience in the field into rich content that will drive SEO success.

• Comfortable working independently and managing a content calendar without a lot of hand-holding

• Bilingual English and French is a significant asset. TGS serves customers across Canada including French-language markets.

• Some familiarity with Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, or GA4 is a plus
