The Jr. Business Analyst will work alongside both Data Entry and Business Analysts to develop the knowledge and skillset needed to provide valuable support to the Purchasing department. This is an entry-level position designed for growth, with a focus on developing analytical and reporting capabilities. Reporting to the Business Integration Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to forecasting, logistics, and supply chain planning, with the goal of developing into a Senior Business Analyst

The Jr.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data entry support to help facilitate business operations. This hands-on work will build foundational business knowledge and familiarity with internal systems and processes.
  • Work alongside Buyers and Inventory Analysts to develop a thorough understanding of the Purchasing department, including its systems, processes, and role in supply chain planning.
  • Possibility to reduce reliance on data entry tasks as your role evolves to include more analytical responsibilities, reporting support and problem-solving.
  • Develop your skills with Microsoft applications (Excel, Access) and coding languages such as SQL and VBA to support report development and automation.
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting department reports. Learn to identify reporting errors and work with team members to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and purchasing staff to support the development of custom and ad hoc reporting solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or Computer Science.
  • Skills in spreadsheet and relational database applications (Excel, MsAccess, VBA, SQL).
  • Self-starter, organized, logical thinker, methodical in approach
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and obligations to facilitate a smooth, organized workflow.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
