The Brick is actively seeking to expand our finance team. We need enthusiastic people with a great customer focused attitude! Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance, the Manager of Planning will be in-charge of the following:

Responsibilities

  • Manage rent rolls, utility bills, CAM and property tax reconciliation

  • Assist Tax Consultants to provide information for property tax appeals
  • Approve journal entries, account reconciliations and occupancy related invoices
  • Prepare occupancy budget
  • Prepare capex budget
  • Provide monthly occupancy variance analysis
  • Maintain IFRS Rent Schedule and reconcile to the Trial Balance
  • Update Lease Summary monthly
  • Prepare Business Cases to support Real Estate business planning
  • Prepare Business Cases for other projects and initiatives in the company
  • Post Audit reviews of Capital Projects
  • Manage Daily Sales Projection
  • Ad hoc analysis to support planning for all lines of business

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles and procedures
  • Basic knowledge in Oracle and Essbase
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to details

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
  • Completion of or working towards an Accounting designation
  • At least (3) three years of Accounting experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Real Estate experience is considered an asset
