    Responsibilities

    • Complete oversight of The Brick’s service division (Trans Global Service “TGS”) including service execution, business development, marketing initiatives, claims management, customer service, and strategic alliances & acquisitions
    • Complete oversight of all repair, installation, and parts programs in the organization
    • Manage the service performance of over 1,000 direct and in-direct technicians and resources
    • Establish transparent and regular reporting on service KPIs for all customer-facing resources
    • Full responsibility for the activities in the 6 regional service shops
    • Full P&L financial and operational accountability for the division
    • Development of a comprehensive annual strategic plan and supporting operating plans for the individual functional units
    • Liaise with the executive leadership team and present weekly and monthly performance updates on behalf of the service division
    • Spearhead a substantial improvement in the in-home customer experience and service turnaround times
    • Explore potential strategic acquisitions in the service industry to increase the range of services and geographical reach
    • Develop, foster, and maintain fruitful and transparent profitable relationships with external partners
    • Develop, foster, and maintain fruitful and transparent relationships with colleagues and internal customers
    • Identify, research, and develop new business opportunities to support growth.
    • Leverage existing industry contacts and knowledge to secure new business with various appliance and furniture manufacturers, warranty companies, retailers and e-commerce organizations
    • Continue to develop and market the service website to reach the largest possible customer base
    • Help define and execute long-term strategies and business plans that enhance TGS Home Service’s role in the market and create new sources of value across the divisions businesses.
    • Identify partnerships, alliances and acquisition opportunities that extend the company’s value proposition.
    • Constantly be aware of competitive market information, industry changes, regulatory updates, and service trends to ensure company is well positioned to succeed
    • Lead the responsible infrastructure build-out of resources to support profitable growth
    • Launch a national apprenticeship program for service to support future growth
    • Frequent travel may be required
    • Location:  Toronto or Edmonton

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience in a similar leadership role
    • Knowledge of in-home dispatch & service
    • Post-secondary education in Business, or technical training related to service would be an asset.
    • Experience in mergers and acquisitions would be an asset
    • Extensive experience in networking and relationship building
    • Existing contacts within the service industry would be an asset
    • Proven sales and marketing skills
    • Previous experience with strategic planning and P&L accountability
    • Extensive experience developing updates and presenting to clients and senior executives
    • High sense of urgency and results-driven
    • Ability to grow the business through collaboration and constructive peer feedback
    • Resourceful in maximizing participation with trade associations
    • Proven success on project teams
    • Experience working with and managing indirect reports
